He's not going to win, so yeah, I think they may have wasted the save. But it was a feel-good moment for Idol, saving the new dad.

There was one thing that suprised me last night. I thought Adam Lambert did a pretty good j*b mentoring them. I at first thought, he hasn't been around long enough to be a mentor. What does he know. I thought it was funny that he said pretty much the same thing so I like that he was humble about it and then I think he gave some good advice.

I thought Siobhan did really well. I like her and her quirky personality. I was surprised that the judges were so hard on her.

I thought Tim was off key. Just me I know and I thought he did well but again was surprised that the judges liked it.

Casey, Crystal and Lee are natural singers, it's hard to choose between them.

Katie is coming on strong. She is getting some good advice from somewhere.

In a nutshell TX, I guess I pretty much like everyone except Andrew and I think Aaron can go too. Not that Aaron is bad.
    See, I can't decide :)

Didn't love Mike, Aaron, or Katie.

I think Andrew, Katie, and/or Aaron will be going home tonight.

Aaron and Katie, though they both can sing, are just forgettable for me. There's something cold about Katie I can't put my finger on too. If they were the two to go tonight, I'd be more than fine with it. I think Andrew will be one of the ones to go, however - I think he was the weakest of the night and botching an iconic song (Hound Dog, in his case) has always seemed the quickest way to get booted.

Crystal was rock solid again, if not her best. Going first is always tough, and two people get eliminated tonight, which is worrisome, but I think she'll stay (I sure hope so - she's still my fave). Lee and Casey are very close for me; I like Lee's voice better, but Casey is a more confident performer right now.

I think Mike will stay, because surely all his fans will vote multiple times after his scare last week. Siobhan is such a wild card; I thought she did much better than the judges did.

Oh, and YAY that Andrew is *finally* gone. That one-trick pony shouldn't have made it past the first week of voting by the public!

I'm good with Katie being gone, too - I have NO memory of her performance on Tuesday, so that tells me I likely didn't enjoy it.

Since I didn't think she would win anyway, I am glad she got voted off so she can do those things.

I'm looking forward to Alicia Keys mentoring next week.

Did the way Mike was standing on the stage bother anyone but me? Maybe it's just the way he stands, which is fine, but it looked like a "challenge" stance to me. I'm not liking him so much lately.

From the beginning of last year, that's all I saw him doing.
Also, these judges continue to confound and confuse me. They tell some that they want to see something different. Then they tell that girl ( I just can't spell her name) that they didn't like her performance because she "seems to be something different every week and you don't know who you are as a performer". And then, they tell the guy with the great hair that he's awesome and knows who he is as a performer and should stay with what works for him. Well, he did just that this week, but they go on to tell him that he's done that type of song before and needs to expand as a performer. I honestly feel that they talk out of their collective butts.
