I enjoy the lousy singers just as much as the next guy, but this season, and this episode in particular, has overdone it. They spend several minutes on some oddballs and then show glimpses of the good singers. I get that weirdos go on Idol, and part of the show is seeing them. But do we really need to see them arrive, be interviewed by Ryan, go into the audition, spend 10 minutes before they actually leave the audition, the exit interview, then shots of them leaving the building, then more outtakes?

I think they got their 15+ min. out of the gig and are pretty ok with their entire experience (or so it seems IMHO). =)

Actually, Kat emerged only recently with her first album, so there's all this publicity rolling around. Taylor's album came out before Christmas; perhaps you missed it in the madness of the holidays. We bought it.
