In my personal experience, Spirit is most present when he feels good points are being drowned-out by poorly-formed points. There were times when he agreed with me and times when he disagreed with me. But either way, I could count on a response to every comment. Instead of relying on posters such as Spirit or TDLFan, I would recommend the current active posters make this a community that is appealing to participate in. "If you build it, they will come" Again, in my own personal experience, 3-4 years ago when people thought I was introducing crazy POVs, Spirit was right there on every comment. When I was in the minority for suggesting that Fastpass was not something Disney should be given credit for. That it was in fact bad for the entire guest population, Spirit was there. Upon opening, when I suggested M:S was a criminal waste of money, Spirit was there. When I suggested that the Disney Dining Plan would cause a decline rather than an improvement in funding Resort Dining, Spirit was there. Actually, our first lengthy discussion was when we were ganged-up on for suggesting that DVC caused innovation in the parks and resort hotels to decline. One of our last discussions was reminding people in face of Everest's opening that WDI was creatively bankrupt. As far as I can tell, as time has gone by, Spirit, myself and others have been pretty much been validated on all of those points. I'm sure the next time an issue comes up that Spirit doesn't feel is MaGiCaL or DrEaMLiKe he will share his thoughts. Like anyone would. Many posters here come and go, Spirit is no different. P.S. TDLFan is a VERY good person.

God forbid someone go to a theme park, act spontaneously, and attempt to wait their turn for an offering. Anyways, we were seated next to a group of 12 people. These 12 people were WDP&R managers/executives having a "working lunch" on the expense account. On top of other basic glarring criticisms that could be leveled at this scenario, does anyone find it in poor taste that out of all the options available these people chose Le Cellier taking a high-demand/low-supply option away from 12 other paying guests?

Technically they're on lunch and they made a ressie. Even if they didnt make a ressie - which happens, there's written protocol and it involves high power schmoozing - they most likely weren't lunching to lunch. I sit next to WDW blue badges at Chefs des France for lunch pretty much anytime i do lunch there. They do have to eat, and they are allowed to eat in the park. The do only have a short period of time so the waiters know that, but they're never seated first - really important schmoozes go upstairs to the fancy-schmancy place at France. I'm not one to defend WDW, really, i have a rep for complaining too much, but unless they booted out a guest with a reservation then i see no problem with it.

Yes, but it serves a purpose (trains the staff and gets word of mouth going). Like i said above, i doubt in the scenario you mentioned they were doing just because they were hungry and Le Cellier sounded good (honestly most CMs aren't that fond of it).

There are still many well formed posts here about the parks, generally on both sides of any issue or viewpoint. People leave LP when they get bored with it (I can't imagine how) or when they get their itsy bitsy feelings hurt because they take a stupid Internet Bulletin Board WAY too seriously. By the way... that remark does not necessarily apply to any of the folks mentioned in the past few posts... Spirit, ChiMike, TDLFAN or vbdad. I used to leave in a huff from various sites too until I discovered that the only one I was really hurting was myself. I still get my feelings hurt on occasion, but I sure don't leave over it. But to each his own...

Well I guess that's the whole point for enjoying your time at WDW... I can go anywhere else in this country and see unpleasant things, and moan and complain about it, but I don't and won't look for it in the MK.. I guess it's really difficult to enjoy something you really love when your looking for the negative all the time... as for TDLFAN goodbye and good riddance, I won't miss him and his nasty ways.. he may have contributed some nice photos at times but it does not outway his rudeness and downright nasty remarks about minorites. He got away with it for two long, I guess it caught up to him FINALLY.. Hopefully he never returns and this board goes back to the purpose it was intended for..

This board will live on without you.. believe me.. go way.. please..

Your post could not be more golden in that regard. If you can't brook contructive criticism of the Disney Parks, you should stop reading a Disney DISCUSSION board. What did you understand the purpose of this board to be?

The whole point of this thread is that we have two former contributors who were an asset to this site who no longer post. >but I don't and won't look for it in the MK.< That is certainly your right, but you don't have to look too far to see some of the changes for the worse that have occurred at WDW in the past several years. They jump right out at you.
