Back in the bad ol' days we'd be another 40 posts in by now, going at it. I completely disagree with his view of micechat, and it's incredibly obvious that he does indeed still have a problem with Al. But I stated that, he refuted it, and hopefully that'll be the end of it. I am guilty of tweaking the guy from time to time, though. And I wouldn't be surprised to find that he does the same. Sometimes a good knock-down drag-out can make the day go by faster!

Eh...I don't like that. I can keep up things for a long time, too, I just don't have that long to live. The only thing I have with Al is that I don't care for him, or things he sometimes says. That's unfortunate, but that's how it goes. I don't have an "issue" with him other than that.

And as I have known for years, and was reconfirmed over the last 3 weeks, LP people are generally good people!

St.Patty's Day is coming up soon and it's never too early. I'll pop back in 4-5 days to see what you kids are talking 'bout! Wanna bet this thread keeps on giving ...

Originally Posted By Inspector 57 >><<lets the bygones be gone, and let's all get back to discussing Disney!>> Agreed. Let all else go "off-line"<< I'm all in favor of letting bygones be bygones. I hate interpersonal conflict between people I like. But -- no offense, Dennis -- while I don't want to inflame or to "take sides," I think it's fair and appropriate to respond here to some of the things that have already been posted ON-line. I want to point out -- no offense, X -- that when someone reads only one account of a conflict (as has been the case on this thread), they are, de facto, not getting the whole picture. My understanding of the "TDLFAN failed to meet with another LP'er at DisneySea!" "incident" includes: that TDLFAN's visits to the Tokyo Parks are frequently regrettably short (a matter of two or three hours in some cases); that he sometimes doesn't even entertain requests to meet people there for that reason; that he did agree to meet this person even though he had a full agenda for this short visit; that he took care to explain his constraints to this person ahead of time; that when the person didn't show, TDLFAN did all he could to contact him; that he waited longer than five minutes. It's regrettable that there was an earthquake and the usually punctual train was late. It's regrettable that the two of them didn't have the ability to connect by cell phone once the LP'er arrived. I know that TDLFAN was distressed when the meeting didn't happen. I believe that it was gracious of him to agree to meet in the first place, and that he wouldn't have made the plan if he didn't intend to follow through. To suggest that he totally blew off an LP'er seems an overstatement to me. I also want to add my observations regarding the assertion that TDLFAN, the person, is exactly like TDLFAN, the sometimes-offensive internet poster. In my experience, that is not the case at all. For years, I have been among those who have confronted TDLFAN -- on LP and privately -- over posts he made that I found to be insensitive, rude, or stereotypical. Yet during that same time period I have never seen him ACT in accordance with those posts. In person, he treats individuals he meets non-judgementally, with interest, and with respect. He's posted harsh things about a number of groups of people and personal behaviors (I don't defend those posts), but in real life he doesn't discriminate like that. He has a number of friends or people he thinks highly of who, for example, drink, smoke, are significantly overweight (no offense, Witches), disagree with him about the relative merits of the Parks, etc. Maybe even Brits who have little taste in clothing (admittedly, I won't be able to confirm this one 'til I meet davewasbaloo -- no offense, Dave). I don't know that TDLFAN even cares how he's represented in this thread. But I thought that he and thread deserve an opposing point of view, at least for the sake of balance.

E-tickets, expansions, parks, closures, ect. The only reason I ever had a problem with spirit and TDL was because on my very first post, the both of them came out of nowhere like the spartan cheerleaders and attacked me. They told me I was wrong and they were right, they said my views were askew because they weren't the same as theirs, they said that I wasn't as big of a disney fan bacause I didn't have as many international park maps as them. They were the ring leading bullies and the reason a hand full of you are upset that they rae gone, is because you are not as good at bullying as they ewre, and you need them to look good. But once again, and I know this is still a little hard to grasp, so I will type slowly...It is still a theme parks for kids and adults alike, thats it! HAVE A MAGICAL EVEING!
