Last night I managed to keep down a burrito from my favorite Mexican restraunt here in Scottsdale so I was very excited. The baby seems to like bean burritos and cheeseburgers so far. I didn't do so well with Jack tacos (sorry -em) and a salad the other day. We're not entirely sure what the due date is yet. It's been 5 weeks and 4 days since my last period so something less than that! I should get a better idea at my next appointment on January 19th!

What an amazing Christmas gift! Ugh on the morning sickness. I had it all day, too. For 5 months. My advice: Saltines in bed before you even sit up very much. Herbal tea Ask you dr. about Vit B shots (B6, I think it was). I ended up going for weekly injections and went from barfing to being queasy. Much more tolerable. Watch your weight. All of the morning sickness can make you lose weight quickly. If you lose more than about 10 lbs, your doctor definitely needs to know. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND CHRIS!

It's such an exciting time of life! You and your husband are now embarking on the journey of a lifetime (I know it's been said before, but it's so true.) I can't think of a better Christmas present to get!

It went from multip,e times daily to every few days at about month 7 or 8. Hopefully yours will be gone after the first trimester. I agree with the saltines. I also kept suckers like Jolly Ranchers with me (purse/car) for when I needed somethng to settle my tummy but had nothing available. It would usually hold off the undesirable feelings for a bit.

Mind you, this was in the middle of the afternoon while we were already out running errands, so we're not talking about any huge inconvenience here. Still, the usually sweet-natured and indulgent Mr. Glitter had a mini fit and refused to drive to Braum's. Fortunately, my already impressive fit-throwing abilities are only enhanced by pregnancy, so after a few minutes of intense. . . um. . . persuasion, Mr. Glitter caved and off we went to Braum's. Little Miss Glitter was a toddler at the time, so I stayed in the car with her while Mr. Glitter went crabbily into the store to get my limeade. So there I am, sitting in the car, growing ever more dehydrated and cranky by the minute. I'm mentally rehashing Mr. Glitter's ornery initial refusal to get my limeade. I'm growing impatient about the delay. I'm completely baffled by his reluctance to do this one, tee-tiny little favor for me, the mother of his children. In fact, I'm beginning to question the wisdom of creating children with this man, when what do I see coming out of Braum's but Mr. Glitter. . . DRINKING MY LIMEADE!!! At that point I just lost it and began hammering on the window with my fist to get his attention, screeching like a fishwife, and gesturing wildly for him to get his no good, rotten, unnurturing, boy cootie infested lips off the straw of *my* limeade. Other than that, it was a pretty smooth pregnancy.
