There is a big difference if you are speeding though it or slowly heading through... Both are great, have wonderful stories, but HM has more depth and mood to it. Same with POTC.

It's just used in a different medium.

Nothing wring with SM or BTMR...they just don't compare to the level of HM...or SSE...or..POTC. But they are still grand, immersive attractions. It's just the nature of the presentation.

How many people ride BTMR for the thrill, rather than the story. Then, compare that to HM? The entire ridership is based in the story of the HM. But both are great, as I have said.

BTMR is a fun little coaster. Not very thrilling as far as I'm concerned. More on the very mild side. I ride it for the looks alone. Well that, and the fact I can drink a beer on it, and never spill a drop.

Especially considering there's no real, concrete story to the HM. People ride it because it's fun. I guarantee 9 out of 10 people wouldn't be able to pick out all the small little connections in the ride.

With the HM, you go for the experience, which IS the story, regardless that Hokie thinks that guests are dumb and don't get these things. ;-) People do notice things, and do think. Maybe not a lot, and maybe not like WE do, but they do appreciate some of the points that are obvious in HM.
