I'm just saying there are so many storylines floating around about the HM, that you don't know what the original intent was. I just look at it as a great attraction, that was improved with the last refubishment. I try not to read to much into the storyline at theme parks. While it's great that Disney gives a backstory to most things. Actually trying to retain all those stories makes my brain swell. While most guest love all the attention to detail, I truly believe all those story lines were created by artist in the industry in the hopes that somebody might pay attention to them. I truly believe that unless you are a Disney fanboy you do not have the time to learn the intent of the attraction from the designers, and writers view point. You just know if you like it or not. I would bet more than half of the guest do not even pay attention to the story being told. Not because they are rubes or yokels, but just because all of their senses are already being overloaded with so much to take in at the Parks. Is this a bad thing? Definetly not!
