Oh, and I get the wanting warm weather when it's frigid all the time or you're digging out a car from a snowbank in late March or April. And I don't like the lack on sunshine. But Florida's climate largely sucks despite what you may believe. It's usually great in spring and mid/late fall only. And this year we had no spring (unless it happened during my three weeks on the DCL and hanging in the UK) ... we went right from winter to summer. I still think SoCal has the best climate because you drive 10 miles and it changes!

Originally Posted By EPCOT Explorer >>>I think I'm beginning to realize why your AC broke.<<< Haha!!! Good observation. We do use it, but nothing it should not be able to handle, for a 5 y/o system. The old one lasted 14-15 years, and we used that one heavily, as well.

We had a cold winter, variable spring and now looks like a decent summer. I love the seasons. ) I couldn't believe how cold it was in LA and the Inland Empire the week before last. I had to wear a sweater most evenings and it was chilly during the day. I'm hoping it warms back up when I'm back next week.

If anything, blame my parents!! Heheh. Writing Part III now...
Originally Posted By EPCOT Explorer Ok, the last time I was here, I was talking about WS, the drunks at Rose and Crown, and promised to talk about WS attractions, IllumiNations in the rain, and anything else I might have forgotten. First off, dinner itself was superb. Really have no complaints with the menu, or with the price, or with the quality of the food. The Bangers and Mashed are excellent…. I want to hunt down the recipe. Atmosphere is great, too…once you get away from the bar. WS glittering under it’s lights and pouring rain outside, it’s very cozy inside. However… Rain = not good for IllumiNations, as you might think. Well, that wasn’t about to stop me. Probably a total fanboi moment for me, but I ventured out in the rain (It wasn’t pouring, still, but just drizzling) to see what I think is perhaps WDE’s greatest nighttime spectacular. For me, it’s worth it. Nothing comes close to the level of emotion, and story, and effect that show has. And standing in the rain lent it a bit more of a poignant effect. I know it’s wrong for me to not want this show to change and herald in a better show, but this, to me, is the best. WDE is going to have a VERY hard time topping this. As for the show itself…You could tell the rain was messing with a few things, such as timings for some of the blasts that go RIGHT on a musical queue. No matter. Can’t blame them. At least the show wasn’t in two parts, right? Besides a few “off” timings, the rest of the show looked great…lasers and lights were especially enhanced by the smoke and humidity and rain, and when you can ACTUALLY SEE THEM, they do sparkle. Goodness knows why they don’t just use the original green Illumi’88 lasers, as those were ALWAYS visible. Using the tricolor ones, as they do in RoE severely dims them. …Or they could borrow those lovely ones from WoC…No one will mind. The rest of WS, before the rain, and earlier in the day, was probably the quietest and best looking I had seen it in a long time. Had some good quality time to just RELAX there, drink it all in, and explore. I have a new appreciation for the Morocco pavilion, and not just for it’s food and entertainment… Walking back in the alleyways and in the courtyards is extremely authentic. Quite cool that this exists in a theme park…and quite sad that Disney hasn’t produced something like this in a long time. Also got to enjoy the World Showcase Players in Italy- hysterical. Romeo and Juliet with Lady Gaga references. Streetmosphere like this adds such a layer of detail to the park. Also in Italy, construction is underway, and hopefully the statue of Neptune will be saved…He’s surrounded by walls, and RIGHT in front of what appears to be the new entrance. The American Adventure, as always, was stunning, though there are STILL issues with some of the audio tracks. The Yosemite scene was devoid of BGM, again, and so was the Rosie the Riviter track. Both were missing last Aug, but back in December. I don’t get it. Eh. Show still is wonderfully moving, though. Did Maelstrom…Wow, does that need help. Lots of effects not working, the Troll AAs are sluggish, the projectors for the fire effects in the first room are all misaimed…at the Vikings. I’ve heard tell that Maelstrom and it’s movie are soon to get a overhaul, but that’s been in the works for a long time now. Movie didn’t even play as we exited, which is a shame. Mexico and the 3 Cabs looked OK, some screens were a bit out of focus, and the volcano projection in the main part of the pavilion had odd white lines running through the smoke. Think that should do it for now… I’m wondering if there will be a Part IV or not? I think I got everything. Heh.

Exactly how long does it take to film a new commercial for Norway? >> Movie didn’t even play as we exited, which is a shame. << That's a blessing. I hate at the beginning of the movie when the kid's quietly looking at the boat and then there's a SUDDEN loud noise. It's jarring and unplesant, even when you're expect it.

They were called yesterday and are due here tomorrow 'between 1 and 5' (naturally!) << Don't feel alone. I'm sitting here waiting on Jeff from John Moore heating, and AC. Proud members of the BBB. It cost me $1000 to fix my heating system in February, now the AC is acting up. I can't decide yet if this was brought on by EE's bad luck or if it's Bush's fault.
