Actually, I think mall foodcourt is better than rainforest.

    I know, I'm an enigma.

"Or should they only go out and find signiture chefs and each open a $120/person unique eateries"

Wow, that would be really cool. I don't think there'd be enough business.

It'll be fine. Just nothing that I'd get EXCITED about. You see? Nothing wrong with the stuff there, but it's just stuff I can get next door. I eat at Great Steak now and then, I like the place. But really, it's a few blocks from my house.

    "What would make you happy?"

A Tommys. And an Orange Julius. And maybe an A&W root beer stand.

Darkbeer I agree with you, these new establishments will greatly add to the overall selection of the resort.
Its not bad to occasionally have a hamurger from places like Johnny rockets while on other days have a nice dinner and wine.

Yes, because Orange Julius is so very upscale.

Oh brother. I'm not even being negative.

And jonvn, what do you have against Rainforest? Their food is actually pretty good (as are their mai tais). And my kids love it.

I just don't care for the food. Just kind of weird stuff. I love the decor, though. That's good.

Oh, I do like their drinks, too.

Looking at the renderings looks like it will be very nice.

And based on all the times I have walked by the area taking photos, you can see it is going be a lot nicer and more complex than the average shopping mall.

Guess we will see the final results this upcoming May.

And c'mon, Darkbeer, the renderings make it look like a nice upscale, outdoor shopping center. The average visitor will think they're not at Disneyland anymore. Oh wait...

And based on what I have seen, there will be mulitple zones with the AGW, each with its own different style of architecture....

I'll probably go see the new shopping center once, but it hardly sounds like anything worth repeating.

Will there be (free) shuttles between DLR and AGW? If so, then I would consider going over there for lunch, especially on days that DL is open 8-12.

Not sure what AGW will do in regards with shuttles, but my guess, the city won't let them, as they use ART as a form of "air quality" impact in the city.

One thing that I absolutely hate about the DtD restaurants is that there always seems to be 30+ minute wait for a table. I recall one day we went mid afternoon: even though every place had empty tables there was a long wait. Every place was understaffed. When we went last month we didn't even bother with DtD.

Im really looking forward to the upscale bowling(especially if it includes Rock n Bowl) and new movie screens as I tend not to trek into the busy and overpriced DTÃ venues for any services, except to get to and from the Mickey lot trams. The Block and such Harbor Blvd restaurants as Ruth Chris, Crabshack and Morton's are easier to access than DTD and I'm hoping AGW will just as assessible.
