First, the train made so many stops from Laguna Niguel (where we got on) to Anaheim that the trip literally took longer than driving would have (it was a weekend). Then, we found ourselves at a train station in the parking lot of Anaheim Stadium waiting for some way to get to Disneyland itself. The ART shuttles were nowhere to be found. Just as the Disney employee in charge of the program was about to pay for a TAXI for us, the shuttle bus showed up. It took a meandering route from the stadium to the park...in total what is a 30 minute drive took us nearly an hour and a half. Going home, the shuttle was also MIA for well over half an hour. We sat and watched hotel shuttle after hotel shuttle fill up and leave, anxious that we would be spending the night because we had no way of contacting anyone to get us a ride to the train station.

In New York or Chicago, thousands upon thousands of people can get off the train and walk to their destination. SoCal is just not like that. jonvn is right.
