Here's an organization whose leaders flew the American flag at half-mast on the 4th of July just to infuriate the federal government over anti-polygamy legislation. Here's a church whose leaders hid under floorboards and fled the law to become fugitives - all in support of an alternative form of marriage. It's just such an easy target. But of course, Dabob2 is right. There are key differences here. Of course, I would argue that all of marriage is a "social arrangement." I don't care if polygamy is legal or not. But the truth is, if you're going to let two adults of the opposite sex marry, then you need to provide equal protection and provide that to two adults of the same sex. Whether you extend that to multiple partners is a different question altogether.
