Should we bar older candidates for the Presidency because they happen to be at higher risk for Alzheimer's?

After all, Alzheimer's can strike people in their 60's, and even 50's (younger is also possible, though rare).

An incredibly high level of stress is going to make it more likely that health problems will occur.

If she does run in 2016, she is going to have to find a really good, and relatively young, VP to run with her-someone who people wouldn't be terrified to see assume the presidency if the worst should happen. While people do tend to vote for the top of the ticket, when a candidate is older they are going to be much more interested in the number 2 spot.

...and that's why some of us were literally shaking in our boots when thinking about the McCain-Palin ticket.

Oh, and as for Hillary possibly being inaugurated at age 69... don't women live longer than men, anyway?

And, just because Reagan was a loser and bad President, doesn't mean that ANY older President will be the same.

the point was at that age no one, and I repeat no one has the energy level in my opinion to deal with the daily stress of the presidency, the travel and meeting schedule and the ability to maintain thought process on everything needed.

I like them around in offices where one can use their knowledge, but maintaining that lifestyle - nope
