But of course it's also a case of Disney protecting themselves. People are cuckoo for Frozen. I could imagine a mom asking this couple to take a picture with her daughter, then another parent follows suit, then a line forms, then the poor couple tries to leave, then a fight breaks out...who needs the headache? Frozen, baby. The reason they got the warning was because people lose their minds over Frozen.

ORWEN: The couple we met were actually disappointed that they had been told to not pose for pictures. They apologized and said they just didn't want to get kicked out of the park. They said they had been approached by cast members who saw them. ORDDU: In the meantime, when we spoke to Guest Relations about this matter, they told us they really didn't want any pictures taken of other guests who were in ANY sort of Disney costume--not just FROZEN.

It's just that Disney has this silly rule in place that's totally off the wall.

It's far easier to just make a blanket statement that applies to everybody The way I see it, it's Disney's way of protecting their characters. Instead of getting a guest dressed as Belle, who may talk to a little girl about poison apples and spinning wheels, the little girl will only talk to the real Belle who will talk about books. It's the same logic behind the infamous daycare center debacle For what it's worth, my all-time favorite Halloween party memory was a trio of gentlemen dressed as Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Druzella. They were roaming the park, completely in character and putting on quite the show. It was only after watching for a few minutes that I realized that they were guys! Everybody was stopping to watch them and their antics, and I didn't see any CMs who appeared to be bothered by it, though I can certainly understand why (in an official capacity, at least) Disney would want to discourage this type of behavior
