Stale and empty despite having two relatively new attractions. Star Tours 2.0 will definitely help, but that's two years out (when it should have been open already). In the meantime, you have the most drastic cutback of hours and entertainment of any park at WDW. You have it closing on weekends in summer at 7 p.m.! How can that not affect its numbers across the board? What's a shame is I keep hearing positive things about the job Rilous is doing. I can just say that the restrooms, which used to be dirtiest at WDW, are now spic and span. The pavement always looks clean (no comparison to MK). Even the playing of happy Disney music on EMH nights and making it a party atmosphere. But none of that is going to matter if people decide to head to another Disney park or off-property instead. <<Have you actually heard anything about Jim MacPhee lately? It would seem that his new position has been akin to an excile.>> I have heard nothing ... but I haven't asked either.

Disney wastes a tremendous amount of AC by leaving every door open. Obviously it make sense in some cases like Emporium, with all the traffic. But at DAK? A park that's all about being 'green'? I also seem to recall being at DAK in July with a very sucky CM and being in shops that felt very hot and sticky. Hmm ... that reminds me, I need to write to that sucky CM unless she writes at me first ...

Both had a "exit poll" attached to them, so as Disney could generate a excuse. I hear JII has had one too, these days. Perhaps they are bending MGM's hours so as to make it "need" a refurb, or a massive expansion? Call me crazy, but this is working for me. Heheh. And, it could be probable. Thoughts? Curious to get some feedback.

To me a 7 o'clock closure is to early for any of the Parks, anytime of the year.

Disney saves millions of dollars by closing TPFKaTD-MGMS at 7 ... and by cutting Fantasmic performances drastically. Of course, what that does is have huge negative affect on guest spending in merchandise and F&B and it will reflect in annual attendence (although some Spirits would suggest Disney plays with numbers anyway). I wonder how many visitors, who aren't Disney nuts, just are opting to drop the park from their visits in favor of more time at other Disney parks or visits to UNI or SW instead.

And while you can certainly call September off-peak, you can't the say the same about July. On the Fourth of July weekend, they closed the place at 7 on Friday and at last minute extended a 9 close to a 10 and added fireworks, but with no Fantasmic still. They were running an average of six Fantasmics much of the summer vs. the usual 14 (while some summers had even more when they could squeeze in a third show).

Although it sounds like a great car ... I've always liked Acuras, even if I've never bought one.

My Disney dealings have taken me to DLP and DL and some industry events in LA where the Studios and ABC were the discussion topics. Ask me about those topics and I'll be glad to spill ... I don't have a clue what is going on at WDW ... which makes me a great candidate for the exec suites!
