You are probably just building muscle through exercising, which I believe weighs more than fat. You are probably still making progress, even if the scale doesn't tell you so.

For me, the key to getting this change to work is planning. I make sure I have good snack choices to turn to when I have a stressful day. I take snacks with me to work, so I don't hit the vending machine. I don't carry cash so I won't be tempted to stop at the fast food drive thru on the way home from work. Don't beat yourself up because you're not perfect, NONE of us are! If I'm not mistaken, you can go to your meeting and skip the weigh-in as long as you have paid for the meeting. Get your weekly materials and just tell the weigher that you'll be weighing in next week. Don't skip your meeting!! There is always good advice and you might miss something you need to hear that will help you in your situation. If you want to talk further, email me (it's in my profile). I would be happy to be your WW buddy! ((((Candice)))) Lilli

But don't beat yourself up over it!!! That doesn't help. Just do the best you can each day, that's all. And reread what LilliBellle wrote, too. I tend to eat when I get stressed. Or depressed. Or happy, silly, lazy -- hey! I'm starting to notice a pattern in my beahvior... Anyway, slow and steady wins the race, and all that. Relax. It's a new day.

So, eyah, I'm dreading it a bit, BUT I'm also reminding msyelf that I'm JUST back on program and it's hard to get used to being healthy again after having spent all of my adulthood before now eating in a not-healthy manner. Just shrug it off, and start each day a if it's the first or as if it's weigh-in day.

One thing that we all need to keep in mind is that it's very bad for our bodies if we lose more than 2 lbs a week - between .5 & 2 lbs is the ideal when on a weight loss program, so just keep in mind that it takes us a while to undo what we did to our bodies.

I have about 29 pounds until I hit goal weight and then I will have lost 100lbs. This topic was really neat to see on a LP board. Well thanks for listening. d

I was getting discouraged but I feel that as long as I stick with the excercise then there is hope for me.

I think the last time I weighed this low was about 20 years ago. With lifetime, I'm still supposed to weigh in once a calendar month- thank goodness, as I need the accountability. I think the biggest thing that I'm learning now is not to use points/ calories on things I don't particularly enjoy. The other night we went out for dinner, and they served the standard rolls and butter before the meal. Now pre-weight watchers, I would've had 2 or three rolls with butter. Instead, I just had a couple bites of the roll (which was nothing special), and saved the points for the entree. Conversely, I'm more than happy to use my points on things I truly enjoy- like a can of Vanilla Coke (3 points). I've started to buy a few new shirts and pants now, as the old clothes don't fit too well. I'm trying not to get too carried away buying new stuff, as I realllly want to make sure I can maintain this weight. Anyway, thanks again to all of you in keeping this thread going. It has served as a good source of support...!
