Checked in with the doctor last week. I am down a total of 27 lbs. so far. My blood pressure has fallen from when it was at it's highest, and she signed off on my camp form with no restrictions. BUT, I did have to start taking a low dosage of high blood pressure medication. She felt it would be best because even though my blood pressure is trending the right way, it still is in the danger zone. HOWEVER, she thinks that maybe, if I keep up with the weight loss/lifestyle changes, the meds might be only temporary (although there is a family history of high blood pressure, so who knows if I'll be able to be off the meds or not). I have not been nearly as diligent watching points as I was at first, so the weight loss has slowed greatly. I haven't gained weight, just sort of in a holding pattern. So I started focusing on it again this past weekend, so hopefully I'll start having loss to report.

Every once in a while I wander off my POINTS and I have to get back on the wagon. I hope to hit 30 lbs this week-- I'm tracking to hit it so far. I've noticed my blood pressure has dropped about 10 points. I wasn't high, but it was on the high end of normal. I'm now comfortably in the normal range. My energy has been greatly improved too. Keep up the good work!

Hang in there. In the long run things level out (and down!).

I'm so hungry all the time, even more-so than when I was pregnant bc I'm nursing. I eat like a pig and while I haven't gained any weight, I'm sure as heck not losing....ugh!
Originally Posted By Labuda "Is "cold stone" ice-cream on our diet?! Oh, yeah, probably not." It is if you make room in your points for it, or use your Flex Points. Remember, Kim, WW is NOT a diet - it's learning to eat & live the way we all should.

Being almost 49 I have given up on my perfect goal and like many of you I'm looking for a healthy weight with good blood pressure, mine teeters, and get off the cholesterol meds. Good job jnemo We're just back from a 12 day vacation so our refrigerator is bare and I'm heading to the store to stock up on healthy foods. Oh, DH recently piggybacked on my WW and lost all his weight and then some >:O Probably 50 lbs total. I do all the research, shopping, meal planning and cooking and HE is losing the weight! He does give me credit when asked about his weight loss though. He'd better LOL.

Maybe try some different things and see if you are still hungry. If I am tired I find I think I am hungry (lord knows you must be tired too)so at those times I try other things then eating, like putting my feet up or just plain taking a nap. Good luck, it is good that you are thinking about taking the weight off.

I did not think at my age I could lose weight, in my younger days if I put my mind to it, I always lost big, but being on WW again I have found it does work. With both DH and I working we find ourselves eating out alot but if I prepare the meal at home I can control it more and usually can have larger servings. I did not do the meetings this time but instead I joined online, knowing that if I need it I will start attending class. The message boards at the WW web site have been so helpful to me. Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing. I find being reportable also helps.
