The state is overwhelmingly Democratic, and the GOP is only 1/3 of the voting block in the legislature. Yet because of the inane 2/3's majority rule, they get to stymy everything but yet offer nothing of substance of their own other than cut cut cut. But cut where? And moreover, cuts obviously aren't enough.

At some point, what they make is commensurate with the job at hand.

I didn't vote because I did not support the wasteful special election. I support carefully targeted tax hikes and maintenance of vital state programs.
