TDL is on a different agreement as OLC have no right to use the characters without permission. That is one reason why HMHN had such little merch last year. OLC have to pay royalties to Disney on every product sold on-property and then an extra cut to Burton.

The word is that Tim Burton feels the Haunted Mansion Holiday cheapens his characters somehow and over-exposes them (it has been noted by many that he seems to have no problem using the music from "Nightmare" to promote "Corpse Bride." We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Also, for those who wish to see this Corpse Bride" appearing in the attic: I don't see it happening. It would make even less sense than everything else that's going on in the Mansion. It would also seem unnecessary for Disney to promote a Warner Bros. film in that way.

" To clarify what Tmichael said, the first two years had flat cutouts of Lock, Shock, and Barrel in the hitchiking ghosts scene right before the mirrors. Once you got the the mirrors, you had one of three "gifts" follow you home. A scary duck, a cat, or a pumpkin jack-in-the-box. Then when Oogie Boogie took over, he was installed in the hitchhiking ghosts' scene and then Lock, Shock, and Barrel followed you home.

There's nothing wrong with it, but it does seem hypocritical of Burton if (and this is based on a website article that may very well be incorrect) he is so concerned about how commercialized "Nightmare" has become. There's no mistaking the "Nightmare" music.
