He's not the only one. Bush is the only person I have ever truly hated. Cannot wait for this chapter in American history to close.

You are missing some of the very best of WDW. While the pavilions have been dumbed down over the past decade, they still provide a very high quality experience in terms of theming. The work done was incredible and stands the test of time.

<<This year I have the American pavillion on my list. Everyone raves about the singers.>>

The American Adventure is a must see. It is the best theme park show/attraction ever done IMHO. ...And the Voices of Liberty ain't bad either!

<<Like you we eat at TGI and other local restaurants. We eat breakfast in the room and lunch in the parks.Sadly, I'm on a budget.>>

I have always eaten the majority of my meals at WDW ... at WDW. But no more. The tilting point of price vs. quality and value no longer is worth it to me. For a special meal, sure. But for two or three meals a day? No way. I'll leave that to the folks who feel like they're raping Minnie if they leave WDW for a meal.

<<When my kids are older I want to do like you and experience the other Disney stuff that is outside the parks. Had deer in my backyard this morning. I never get tired of seeing them. They such beautiful animals.>>

They are. I don't get any in my backyard ... even if it wasn't fenced in, I wouldn't.

I love the fact that WDW has so much native wildlife still around ... although I worry as Disney seems intent on chopping down every last tree on property. As nice as I am sure the Four Seasons resort will be, I DETEST where they are putting it and all the greenery that is being destroyed for it.

    <<BTW your answer was great.>>

Thanks. It was just stuff off the top of my head.

I usually do threads of observations after a visit, but this time I've opted not to because, frankly, it would be very tilted toward the negative. I just think Disney's 'leadership' team is doing a pisspoor job of running the resort right now ... and compared to Universal and Busch it becomes even worse.

<<We do they petting area too. My girls have a horse but they still want to see and try to touch others. I want to do the boatride to trails end also. Thanks for responding. Enjoy the rest of your trip.>>

That area at FW and WL is one of the best parts of WDW. No doubt about it.

Loads of magic, yet none of the manufactured Disney kind. In other words, nothing that Jay Rasulo and his marketing team would be interested in.

Nope. Not obsessed. Just profoundly sad that someone so lacking in so many ways ... especially simple humanity and ethics could come to 'lead' this nation for eight years.

The damage he's done will last for decades to come, if not longer.

I'll just be glad when he's back on the Ranch and Cheney is off making billions for Haliburton in Dubai and, maybe one or two of his minions will wind up in jail at some point as fall guys.

I guess I am just so so very tired of the man.

From 9/11 to the economic crisis with the wonderful international jaunt that is Iraq running clean through the middle, how can you blame somebody for being a little perplexed at this epic fail of a president and human being.

If you read that as obsession, that's your problem.

Bob let me explain something to you.
When a person can't make a post on a WDW forum with out bringing up a negative thought, continuously, about possibly the worst President in history that is what I call an obsession. I'm not talking a few times, I'm talking more times than I can count. I consider Spirit a good internet friend, and sometimes I worry about him. Built up stress can really take it's toll on people. Even a young man like Spirit.
Now I had my say about it, and he's made his response back to me. I am perfectly willing to let it go at that. However you now feel a need to respond. I will be more than happy to go down that boring path with you if you would like.
I feel this is a forum to discuss WDW, not politics, religion, cultural preferences, racial issues or anything else that has absolutely nothing to do with Disney. Comments like that will slip in from time to time, threads go off track or threads die because of it. That's OK, sometimes it's even fun, but sometimes it starts to become a habbit, and that's not any good for the many posters that come here to discuss WDW. When that happens I'm going to point it out. No I'm not the PC police I am only a member of this forum expressing my opinion. Now if you can't understand that, that is your problem. I hope we have reached an understaqnding on this matter.

I'm not Bob, but since I likes ya you can call me Bob if you'd like. I've been called much, much worse ... and that' just by family and friends.

<<When a person can't make a post on a WDW forum with out bringing up a negative thought, continuously, about possibly the worst President in history that is what I call an obsession.>>

Well, at least we're on the same page about the man being the worst.

<<I'm not talking a few times, I'm talking more times than I can count. I consider Spirit a good internet friend, and sometimes I worry about him.>>

Thanks! At least someone does. Actually, I worry about myself ... and others and this country and this planet ... it all can be very stressful.

<<Built up stress can really take it's toll on people. Even a young man like Spirit.>>

Exactly. I'm going gray because of all the stress (seriously!)

Can't answer for Bob ... but I really don't have much to say about WDW right now.

    I went.

    I saw.

    I (mostly) enjoyed.

I wasn't overly impressed by anything other than the things that have impressed me for years.

FWIW, I think others feel likewise because this forum hasn't been this boring in a very long time. Not even any fun arguments about reusing old Disney mugs (I did and am proud of it!) or TDLFAN jumping in to tell us how much better things are in Japan ... or some DoM coming in to talk about all the magic Meg and her minions are creating every day ... and we sure don't have talk about future plans for WDW because ... well, there aren't any unless they involve the letters D-V-C.

Besides, you can't escape politics these days. We do have an election Tuesday (as a Floridian I voted over a week ago before going to WDW yet I have no sense that it will actually be counted.)

Well evidently some of those votes are getting through. We shall see Tuesaday.
The upcoming election is the reason to avoid political discourse right now in my opinion. The election already dominates everything, I for one need an escape from it for now. I'm sure it will come up plenty after the election also.
Yes it can get boring sometimes when there is not enough to discuss about WDW, but life itself can get boring on ocassions. I miss TDLFAN also, I still have no idea why he left. The same goes for witches. Even you abandoned the sight for a while. I guess some folks just get burnt out. I for one have found everyones opinions about everything refreshing even when I disagree, and complain about a lot of things. I have never wished to silence an occasional comment on something, that is never my intent. However I do feel obligated to express my opinion on any issue brought up here. Believe me Spirit opinion, and the expression there of, is something I will never be lacking in. My wife considers it one of my many character flaws. I think I'm going to go fry me up some picles tonight, get out the buttermilk ranch dressing, and ice down the Peroni beer, and watch the shoot-out in Lubbock tonight. Now that's my idea of releasing stress.

He is in a dead heat with Jimmy Carter right now. If Jimmy would have kept his mouth shut after he stopped being the President, Bush would dominate that space now.

Yes I read your post on that. The simple little things sometimes make for the best of times. Sitting on the World Showcase lagoon with an adult beverage at sunset Is one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. Funny how age can do that to a person. It use to be sking down a slope when I was younger.
