I remember that mantra. It was the mantra that gave us four more years of the Bush administration.

"Anybody but a Republican" with nothing more behind it, will achieve the same result I'm afraid.

Not that I want Democrats to win, but the Republican party has too many problems right now to keep control.

Are you saying we split if the GOP loses either the house or the Senate?

Of course when I win I will do like I did with Labuda and blow it off. :)

Yes, if Democrats control one, and Republicans control the other, its a push, is that fair?

I intend to honor this bet, I have enough poker winnings to cover it ;o)

The person making the donation gets to claim it as a write off. BUT that said, it's not my beeswax.

With this sort of thing, it really is like betting on the outcome of a coin toss. Either side could goof, any number of dirty tricks could be employed by either side.

I've never understood the point of this kind of bet, really. It doesn't 'prove' anything.

No, but its fun, and among friends, if you win this kind of bet, you can talk smack for a long long time.

No, all it will take is a Democrat party that is afraid of taking a stand on anything important.

But unfortunately the Republican Party has so many flaws, they cannot use this strategy as effectively as they did in 2004.

I have no idea how much DL Paris annual passes cost but I would be willing to buy you 3 or 4 if you win. Remember though that France sucks.

If I win I get 4 DL Annual passes for the family. Or we could make it for 2 passes only.

Just the fact that you are willing to put something of value on the line to back up your opinion makes you a stand up guy. Anyone can mouth off if they are not going to risk anything. Those people are easily dismissed as not having any convictions or confidence in their positions.

    I agree to these stipulations

Only need 3 for my family, they are a little more expensive than DL passes due to Euro rate so 4 for your entire family would be fair

It is going to be an interesting election with alot of dirty politics, but I think Americans are going to place the blame of high oil prices and a lagging economy solely on the Republicans.
