Some people enjoy gambling. Some don't. I live less than an hour away from two of the largest most well-run Native American casinos in the country. I visit them about once a year. I just don't like gambling much. You obviously do.

    Or as SPP said...

I think it would be a pretty safe bet. As WK said most likely the Democrats will take the Senate but not the House, so it will be a push bet.

I think it far more likely that the Democrats would take both than that the Republicans would retain both, but I don't really think either will happen.

But why would I bet with you anyway? WK has at least met you and knows that you are real and where to find you.

As far as I'm concerned you could be some 16 year old kid sitting at the computer in his underwear inside a 30 foot travel trailer parked up on blocks on an acre of land in the boondocks of Oregon.

And I could be the same. So why on earth would you want to bet with me??

Look, there is NO way the dems pick up either the house or the Senate even though STPH since late 2004 has been saying he can't wait till the GOP falls in 2006.

When it comes time to go into the voting booth, people know the republicans keep them safer and let them keep more of their money and they don't hate god. And that is just the short list.

This election is not deadly serious or vitally important, both parties are so corrupt and tied to lobbiests, that neither party should be in control. Its going to be the same crap no matter who wins this election. If you think otherwise, you are just fooling yourself IMO.

I think it would take a miracle for the Republicans to lose either one. A swing of 6 seats is HUGE when only a third of the senate is up, and as for the house, most districts have been gerrymandered to within an inch of their lives and are totally safe for the incumbents. Moreso than ever before, and far moreso than the last big swing in 1994.

If Democrats do take either house over, it's going to mean huge dissatisfaction with the way things are going.

When you break the races down and how many seats the Dems have to win to take over either the house or the Senate it is practically impossible for them to have a majority in either.

Throw in the fact that the dems are promising cut and run appeasment, tax hikes and no other solid plan for America, there is no reason to vote for them, nothing.

And both strictly cater the psycho fringes of their respective parties; tinderbox politics at its best.

What a depressing age in American history. If there was ever a time for a third party…

Republicans neither invented gerrymandering nor are they the sole practioners of it.
