You made it very clear you didn't care what Governor Brewer did, even so far as to show up intoxicated on the job, so long as she "got rid of illegals." Can I presume you voted for President Bush, Donny? If so, why would you not vote for someone who's deported even more illegals than he has, especially given that this is really the only thing you care about?

I'm sorry we made fun of you for plagiarizing stuff. Please go back to doing it. I miss the grammar, spelling and punctuation.

So, while I may lean to the right, I don't like Arizona's current politics of legislation being passed that seem to go against civil rights, which is not part of the republican platform (aside from some vocal tea baggers platforms).

In Arizona, it's just a scapegoat to distract voters from ever figuring out that their corrupt politicians were profiting off of the masses for a decade while they took kickbacks from real estate developers in exchange for no regulation and sweetheart deals to allow condo communities to be barfed up all over the desert. Arizona represents everything that is wrong with America.

But from what I have been reading some very Mexican problems are starting to appear in Arizona, including the nefarious "express kidnappings" that are so common south of the border that I know upper middle class folks who have fled Mexico for this very reason and now reside (legally) in the USA. Illegal immigration is a real problem and one that needs to be addressed. Sadly, at the national level all I hear of, wherther it be from the GOP or The Dems, is talk of amnesty. I can understand Arizonan's frustration with the problem. It's too bad DC isn't on the border, if it were then maybe they might actually enforce the laws on the books.

Isaacs said private prison companies have been buying influence in Arizona politics for years. The number of private prisons and jails operating across the state shows the result of that influence, he said. Currently, there are at least 12 for-profit prison, jail and detention facilities in Arizona. Isaacs said the state has something else that attracts these companies. “The other Holy Grail, if you will, of private prison construction is immigrant detention,” Isaacs said. Corrections Corporation of America holds the contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to lock up illegal immigrants picked up in Arizona. Tough immigration laws such as Arizona's SB 1070 could send thousands of new bodies its way, and millions of dollars." KPHO News in Phoenix was told by Coughlin, the campaign chairman, that there was no connection between Jan Brewer and the undocumented workers who've been arrested by local authorities. But that is simply not the case: "But ICE’s spokesman in Phoenix told CBS 5 News the agency gets most of its detainees from local law enforcement. Records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request show Arizona agencies turned over 23,000 illegal immigrants to ICE over the past three years. Hundreds of them ended in up CCA facilities." Executives and employees of the for-profit prison company, CCA, have also contributed to Brewer's re-election campaign. The whole thing smells highly corrupt. Brewer's hands are not clean on this one. Not by a long shot.

But I dislike even more how we expect our politicians - on either side of the aisle - to behave. We want them to be bland but exciting, honest but reassuring, smart but average, leaders but commoners, inoffensive but bold, natural but well-groomed, spontaneous but cautious, human but unemotional.
