BTW, Israel became a nation in 1948. This year is the 60th birthday of Israel. The rest of the post is meaningless to me. Quoting the New Testament to prove one's own beliefs about Armageddon is not unique. I know what the New Testament reads, the question is what do YOU think?

There are various forms of "Futurism" that put most of that stuff in the future still. The bottom line is that some Christians believe the end will come all of a sudden one day, and that's it... there'll be the final judgment, and then a heavenly existence to some, and Hell for others. Other Christians believe there are a bunch of things that are going to happen (like the rise of the Antichrist, the Tribulation, the Rapture, etc.), and possibly a 1000-year literal reign of the Messiah before "the end". What's common to all of the different views is that: Jesus returns. He wins. His followers or those who accept Him as Savior are resurrected/transformed and will fellowship for eternity with Him, those who reject Him are judged and it's Hell (some people believe a ceasing of existence) for them. Whether or not the "Mark of the Beast" is some literal human device that is coming in the future or not, I'll just stick to following Jesus and let things go how they're going to go. I don't spend hours and hours with the newspaper in one hand the the Bible open to Revelations in the other.
