As much as I would like to see it leave Adventureland, according to FoxxFurr, the spinners' capacity is very good (facilitating ops in Ad/Lib) and I doubt with so much removed capacity in the MK over the past few years that they could afford to pull it out for aesthetic (or crowd congestion) reasons.

The hope was that with the resotoration of Fantasyland's capacity they would then be able to get by without the carpets. I understand they are reported to be built from scratch, but there was some post on some blog about them keeping the original open until the 1st of 2 spinners was up and running. Then they would move the old Dumbo into the #2 spot. Not sure if this is correct, but it was out there.

Unlike DL's AdvLnd which I grew up with, MK's had this take-me-away-to-exotic-lands vibe that Anaheim couldn't accomplish, with such a small footprint. But once that stupid spinner showed up, all those exotic warm fuzzies disappeared. Now those can only be found at DAK in Harambe. AdvLnd needs some TLC. Time to remove the carpets.

Some really really great design work that has been so abused and neglected I wouldn't even know where to begin. It's amazing how easily it was to neutralize all the layers of style and subtlety in one fell swoop with pincarts, Aladdin theming and the Kmart toy department. And then you have what once was a deceivingly open town center coordinating every amazing design departure leading into it, while giving guests a way to be physically at ease, ruined by an attraction that could be found in three other spots on property. Anyways, lets all hope for the next time there is a chance to see this thing get removed.

I still remember how let down I felt by Adventureland. I love Adventureland at DLP and knew that MK's would be different because the Jungle Cruise takes up a lot of space. But I was just so disappointed, it felt like a row of empty houses and the spinner taking up way too much space in the area it stands in.

That adds a TON IMHO. The entrance to the land is a little funnel like, with the houses, yes, but the back half of the land is really chocked full. Only major problem is the aesthetics with the Spinner. And now that the Tiki Room is back, it'll actually be better!

I understand that comparing it with DLP's Adventureland is rather unfair, because they have more space to use there. I just wasn't expected to be as disappointed as I was and that's why I thought ChiMike's comment was so interesting: It sounds like it has changed quite a bit and not for the better. I am really looking forward to the Tiki Room (if they live up to the expectations and don't throw something stupid in there). But at the moment I think the Tiki Room is just too much hidden by the spinner. And I like the tiki statues, DLP doesn't have tikis and I miss them there.

Also, there's no such thing as a bad tiki.
