The sides simply weren't even - every doctor who actually saw her (as opposed to Bill Frist) who wasn't hired by the parents said the same thing. Plus, doesn't a spouse have medical power of attorney in the absence of written wishes? (And, of course, probably the best thing to come out of this is millions of people putting their wishes in writing so there can be no mistaking).
