When you get the horrible press and the word-of-mouth that there isn't that much in the park to do, you're not going to get the crowds, especially when HKDL is litterally the most expensive touristy thing to do in all of Hong Kong. Heck, even Ocean Park is almost half the price on the weekends and twice as much to do. I'll say it again until my face turns blue, but the value of what you are paying will win out everytime for most, espcially if you are on a budget. I don't care how pretty the tress are and how colorful FL is. Disney built a nice, but a weak MK park and they know it .

Again, Disney is trying to attract guests whose never been to one before, so for a lot of them, it really *is* just another theme park, just a really famous one that's really, really pretty . So, you have to do something a little more than just say "Hey, it's Disneyland" and expect people to show up when you got other theme parks that has more to offer at a reduced price. Of course, these are the same people who built DCA with similar thinking in an area FILLED with other theme parks with the same crap, so nuff said .
