A fun parade party over the tired "Let's Sell Snowglobes" parade at the MK, Plus it's lightyears cleaner over most of WDW and lines are shorter there. Yup. I too would take DCA, especially after how much I enjoyed my visit there last July.

I still love MGM - DCA's ToT looks like a piece of crap on the outside, it may fit the park better than MGM's gothic exterior but it's much less appealing and scary imo. I haven't ridden it but I heard that the changes aren't as good in DCA either (ahem everyone who scoffs at WDW PotC about minor changes and ride length)

I haven't ridden Screamin' but I've seen pics...it's just an outdoor coaster...even if the coaster itself is better than RnRC's track it doesn't have Aerosmith music blasting or the darkness.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kali isn't as good as GRR. I think I'm the only one who is very underimpressed by DAK with the exceptions of the Safari and ITTBAB.

I still love the Great Movie Ride. StarTours, Indy Show, the Backlot Tour are all fun and I think I'm the only one who enjoys Sounds Dangerous (but it really DOES feel like the bees are in your ears just by hearing it! :p)

I'm sure DCA is a nice park as it's one that seems to be just a place to get some of the better WDW rides to DLR without tearing stuff out of DL itself. It's an amusement park with Soarin' that is now at EPCOT and then some WDW clones.
That's still a fun park, but I'd still take MGM and FutureWorld (I don't think it's fair to take half a park though, thats's like someone saying 'Well I'd take MK over Main Street, Tomorrow Land, and Frontierland at DL) over it

You keep saying this but really...when i was in DCA in July, there were a TON of sports that desperately needed repair, paint, etc. Not to mention, the audio on Screamin' in awful state, and a ToT that is far below the standard set by MGM's.

Are you sure you visited DCA and not Knott's?? I mean, they are mighty similar in offerings and some of you might not know the difference.. Because the DCA I saw in July *was* cleaner and better maintained that most areas of WDW, and I spent a whole day there in the sun soaking the sights and the theming, otherwise..why would I bother make such comments in the first place??

I commented on the lack of audio on Screamin' as well when I came back from my trip and recall mentioning how unsatisfactory that was to me. So no, not all is perfect at DCA (after all...it is run by WDC and not OLC ;) As for DCA's TOT... it's only a matter of opinion on who likes what. Me? I don't prefer one over the other, but do enjoy the differences between them both. However...I must ask... exactly what makes you say DCA's Tower is below standards over MGM's??

Plus, the CM are very happy to see you. When I was shopping at 'Greetings from California' I asked a CM where the DCA logo merchandise was; that I wasn't interested in Disneyland resort stuff. Suddenly I was her long lost buddy, and she was showing me every DCA thing in the store.

Sadly, there wasn't as much available as I thought there should be. They must have discovered that the DL stuff moves more quickly than the DCA stuff and stock accordingly.

I know the locals don't like it, but I saw the same 3 positives the 2 times I have been there

Yes i agree, and this is comming from ME!! Now as u ALL know im a psycho Disney purist. I want Tatum, Walker, and Miller type management and want portraits and monuments of Baxter, Anderson, Coats in the New Fantasyland <----sarcastic...But even I thought that DCA 05 was run BETTER and more FUN than FW or MGM.

My East coast relatives all liked DCA very much. My brother and his family spent about 2 whole days at DCA (and yes, 4 at DL).

Personally, I like DCA, because I'm not living there anymore, so it's more interesting to me.

That truly was the $64M question. They had to know who their main fan base was? DCA would have worked better in Florida probably.

I also used to live ( for a few years) in So. Cal...so I liked it because it was a sampler of sorts of the lifestyle....

Clean park. Nice attractions (although I'd like to see an AA-show and 1-2 dark rides). Fun unique parade. Lots of detail (like the music on PP). Wonderful CMs. I think they have the basics for a very nice park there vs. Disney-MGM, which started strong and has been picked, clawed and nibbled apart so that there is very little there worth seeing.
