As mentioned the attention to detail is gone, many places simply look tired and are in need of much love and attention. In the past I could not wait to return to Walt Disney World once I got back home, however perhaps a few years away will give me a greater appreciation when, and if, I decide to make another trip East. In some ways Disneyland is getting to be the same way. Oh sure, California Adventure is going to be great when it reopens this summer, especially with Cars Land, even so, I just don't get as excited as I use to....blame it on old age I guess, however I long for the simpler days at Disney when the Parks were a lot more open and there wasn't a souvie stand in every nook and cranny trying to sell you something....and usually it's all the same stuff, nothing unique to areas anymore.

You could walk up to any restaurant and get in after a short wait.
No fast passes so everyone got on to any attraction ASAP.
How the place has changed gor the worst.

DLRP still makes any money, but during the last years we have seen some great additions, like TOT and Crush's Coaster, and nearly the whole park was refurbished. DLP still isn't perfect, but it seems the European resort is doing better than WDW.

It really makes no sense why this isnt the case. I guess the other Disney resorts are better maintained because most of the customers are locals. A lot of people complain how ap's make DL a horrible experience but, at the same time they are catering to the locals making the quality much higher than WDW. Its really a shame WDW is having such problems, i really enjoyed some parts of my trip and would love to see improvments.

I suspect that if the X-Pass thing turns out as bad as it sounds like it will -- because it sounds like touring the parks without an X-Pass will be a huge hassle with longer waits, basically like touring without FP today -- then that might be the last straw for me.

As it is, I usually visit WDW one day each year to catch up on the new stuff, but if X-Pass is going to be management's idea of a new E-ticket, then I'll probably bail.

I wasn't sure what I thought, but then Obama had his "expand the visa waiver program" speech in front of the Castle, so who knows. If Disney sees growth coming in increasing the amount of international visitors from South America who like to travel in large groups, selling them a ride reservation system would be a logical course of action to take.

Still will be a disaster for the rest of us though.

Did everyone see the list of what will be included over on Jim Hill? <a href="http://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2012/02/22/which-wdw-attractions-are-becoming-part-of-the-xpass-experience.aspx" target="_blank">http://jimhillmedia.com/editor...nce.aspx</a>
