I am working to make the jobs of those awsome (as you always mention) CMs in Tokyo a bit better. As far as you getting your monies worth (and that is certainly true), you will NOT be getting your monies worth as time goes on when the management starts getting rid of every caring CM in the park. This is scheduled to happen within 18 months. And THEN, when you come back to the resort with your expensive annual pass...it will be YOU who should be pitied for finding that things are TOTALLY not what they used to be. 18 months. Mark my words. UNLESS, I manage to fix things (which I intend to do).

In an American hotel, generally speaking there's at least a 1-hour grace period (which is why they often post it as 11am if they really want you out by 12pm). Plus, they don't really care how long you stay until your housekeeper has all of their other rooms clean, since having you out of the room does them absolutely no good until the housekeeper can prepare it for the next guest. Anyway, at 12:15, the phone rings, and predictably it's the front desk: "Mr. SuperDry, when do you plan to check out?" There was that very subtle Japanese way of handling situations like this. He didn't tell me I was late in checking out - he simply asked when I was going to do so, knowing that I knew I was late so he needn't accuse me of anything. But the message was delivered loud and clear.
