There won't be a huge tower here unless something radical changes. The plans they are currently thinking of are one (possibly two) seven-story DVC 'wings' that will take the place of some current buildings/rooms. <<I dunno. Too much speculation, not enough fact. I'm not writing anyone or anything off, but I'm getting to the point of thinking where I think everyone is concerned with this rumor, myself included, and operating off that. >> EE, you know I don't post speculation unless it's labeled as such or vetted well. I realize fans on another MAGICal site have taken Aulani Junior literally, which wasn't my intention rather how it was described to me in a mocking fashion by someone who doesn't think WDW should be all about being The Timeshare Kingdom of the World. This apparently is fact -- right now. But since Disney has plans for DVC at the GF and at FW on the RC site and a stand alone resort on Buena Vista Dr. just to name a few, who knows what will come first ... I think it will be GF since those plans have been filed. But we'll see. <<We shall see. There are tons of resort plans that DON'T get worked on, too. Hopefully, this is one of them.>> I don't want to see ANY plans for ANY resorts. I actually would rather see the shell of the Legendary Years at Pop sitting idle at this point. No more rooms. No more timeshares. Not with four stale poorly maintained and run parks.

Look at how many resorts (and room capacity) that have been added since 1991 dawned. There only was one 'moderate' resort, which wasn't even categorized that way. There were no value resorts. And Disney wasn't in the timeshare business yet. The town of Celebration (which really is even creepier since the real estate market crashed 3-4 years ago) was nothing but acres and acres of scrub and wetlands and cows grazing in pastures. And, at the same time, look at how fresh and great the parks were ... and the constant addition of new things, from E-ticket attractions to parades to shopping to water parks and PI. Once Disney shifted to a real estate company philosophy, all of the reasons for why people visited had to be changed through lowering quality and expectations hand in hand with giving guests a whole lot of pixie dust, hyperbole and the same old, same old. You have the 40th Anniversary coming up and nothing happening in FOUR parks (anyone hear this same tale from me year after putrid year?) but retro merchandise ... and MAGICal fanbois blathering on about how it's for the best as Disney doesn't need to focus on anniversaries unless they're like every quarter of a century!
