They will always be plasters to me, band aids are just a brand of plaster.

I did not know that, so it's a bit like "Colour", and "Color"...those lazy Americans...

I went to Freo (Fremantle) in November of 1989 via the USS MIDWAY (CV-41). We had 7 days of visiting the country. I paid someone 100 dollars to stand my duty for one day. The highlights of the visit....

We pulled into Victoria Quay, which was at the time, the largest ship that could fit into the quay.

My dept (the senior officers) went on a wine cruise down the Swan River near Perth. They said it was one of the best river cruises ever. I did not go.

Perth was one of the bets cities I have ever been to. The Hay Street mall area was great, with one of the best nightclubs. Northbridge was great too. One of my friends saw Tone Loc in concert.

Freo has one of the best bar I have ever been to, The Sail and Anchor, with RedBack beer on tap, yum. Too bad they don't sell it in the states.

Those were the main highlights of my only visit to Perth, I do want to go back, if you have never been to Austrailia, go, you only live once.

One of the things that's always put me off going to Australia is the distance. Along with New Zealand it's the furthest I can get from home unless I visit the moon!!!
