Hey... geniuses are allowed to look strange. Besides, the look of his ear will prepare him for the future. Looks like an old man's scrotum to me. ;-)

^^This Parks Blog post describes the show as having a pair of "storytellers" to narrate the show. This seems to echo the Sage of Time from Tapestry of Nations, who led the procession. I just hope that the storytellers are used sparingly, since the dialogue-heavy portions of WOC all kill the show's pacing and momentum. Having them could help unify unrelated segments, but I hope that they are used thoughtfully

It's also funny that there are characters meeting outside the park gates. I guess the park is isolated enough that it won't attract any crowds (though there's also the Rainforest Café outside the gates), but it just seems so different from Disney's standard approach

On the bright side, at least they didn't actually name it "Avatarland". I'm still surprised that they couldn't come up with anything better than "Carsland" for DCA. It will be interesting to see what they call the Star Wars projects in WDW and DL

I can't wait to see what the completed project looks like

Those photos look like you can start to make out the actual shape of the mountains a little more. I had thought that the main mountain was going to be one big chunk, but it looks like it will actually be comprised of several smaller pieces

And Everest's weird village camouflage on the back side is just awful. At least Pandora appears to be getting the 360-degree treatment.

Then again, the building itself is rather large and fairly close to the road, so it's possible that you won't be able to see the façade sticking up on the far side of it. You'll certainly be able to see the floating mountains beyond it, but that's no worse than seeing the jungle beyond the Indy building at DL

I wonder what the opening on top of one of the mountains is for. From the way they've done the edges, it looks like it will remain open; perhaps it's just positioned where nobody will be able to see it from the park, so it's not worth finishing off. Still, it seems odd to not put some sort of covering on it to keep rain out

For how long? They couldn't keep a Yeti moving; how are they going to keep mountains moving?
