I've only seen the first Iron Man movie. Is it possible to see the movie without knowing the films mentioned above? << It would have helped. But I think it will be alright. But "Thor"!! That one would have helped to explain the central plot of this Avengers film. Trying not to throw any spoilers out here: Go to the wikipedia page for the movie Thor .. and read up what happens in the film regarding Thor's BROTHER! One thing I want to say ... (staying away from spoilers) ..... I kept expecting LOTS of BIG battles .. good vs. evil. Right from the very beginning! But what I should have expected from minute 1: Is the DEVELOPING RELATIONS between the multiple super heroes. I wish I knew that from the start. After watching so many Good vs. Evil films for over 2 decades ... with these giant battles, you just sort of expect everyone to already be buddy-pals with no explanation .. and jump into battle against all the bad guys. ....... It's not a spoiler to expect the FIRST Avengers film .. to be about HOW THEY ALL COME TOGETHER for the first time.

It may be out of the question at WDW. But, Disney did get away with placing the Avengers on a WDW monorail, with much fanfare including on Orlando's local news outlets (TV and print). The local news outlets were almost touting new The Avengers monorail wrap like it was a new attraction. So, since they got away with the monorail, and got some good advertising and PR out of it, why stop there?
