I had no idea that it was that common after pregnancy. It would have been nice if they told you, oh by the way if you have horrible crushing pain near your stomach you're not dying...it's probably your gall bladder...lol.

    I agree completely about the lack of information. When I went to the surgeon, he said that it was common issue during or right after pregnancy. I originally thought that I had eaten some bad shrimp about 10 days after the birth of my son and then it happened again a few weeks later but again, I thought it was because I had gone back to work and my body wasn't reacting right. It took me 4 months to realize that something was really wrong and by then it was really bad. It has been 10 years since I had mine out and I have had no side effects or problems.

    Best of luck to you and your new one, enjoy him, they grow quickly!
