My mom looked pretty good at 40, but not my smokin' gran. I remember when I was a teen my gramma showing me how to avoid having the host poor me too much booze at a party (a problem I have NEVER had). It was different times for sure.

Great retro decor; semi-fancy but comfortable; welcoming, familiar, club-like service from the staff; a house piano player playing the standards and joking with the staff and regulars. Never mind that "Wedge of Iceberg with Thousand Island Dressing" is $9 or whatever. To me, it was totally worth it to be believably transported back to "Old" Vegas. http://www.hardrockhotel.com/p arty_eat_ajs.php My absolute best experience doesn't exist anymore. It was a true dinner show in a "supper club" at the Rio in Vegas. There was seating on tiered levels around a dance floor, dancing during pre-dinner cocktails, crooners during appetizers, big production numbers, great dinner, wonderful lighting and special effects... Ahhhhhhh...
