After days where she suffered considerably and would only be talkative for about 20 minutes during a six-hour visit, she suddenly was pain and nausea free and would be sitting in a chair watching TV and conversing for virtually the entire time the kids and I were visiting her. Yesterday was a wonderful day... My kids brought our puppy Kenzie to the hospital to see Rose. They had missed each other desperately. We thought it would be just a short meet and greet outside the front door of the hospital, but once the nurse with Rosie saw how well-behaved (and adorable) Kenzie was, she called her superiors and we were given permission to take Kenzie up to Rosie's room (it is a private room). So there we were with the whole family... Rosie, me, both kids and Kenzie. It was a truly wonderful day.
