Sorry guys, once diabetic, always diabetic. Take it from one who knows and often has great test results.

    Okay, back to topic...

As I already posted (you must have missed it), my doctor said the same thing, although with the qualification that, if he'd not PREVIOUSLY diagnosed me as diabetic, nothing in my last two blood tests would have led a doctor to diagnose me as diabetic, currently.

    Interpret that as you will.

blood sugar levels can surely be affected by diet and weight levels though.....I was hypoglycemic for a little over 2 years and caused some health issues -- lost 40 pounds and started to exercise again and the issue eventually went away. Now that is not being diabetic, but is closely related due to the rising and falling blood sugar levels and their effects on one's health.

This would have been a great time to snap a few of those awesome pictures that you give us access to. Maybe if some of the people who complain about your so-called negativity saw what you witnessed, they may become more informed and less critical of you- and become more critical about the state of WDW.

    Ah, so what?!

People like TDLFAN deserve to get criticized. Folks like him obviously only go to the parks to criticize them and intentionally look for what's wrong them and not to have a good time and escape from the real world.

Almost all of you LPers are way too critical of Disney and need to lighten up and get lives! Seriously!

I don't think so, and I'm a major "Disney apologist". There are a few here that relentlessly bash the parks unfairly, but most here love and enjoy the parks.

TDLFAN and The Spirit may point out things that need improvement, but they are both quick to praise positive things they find too. They are not chronic nay-sayers.

I still love WDW, but am realistic in the fact that the place isn't as magical as it used to be- for many of the reasons TDLFAN and others have cited on this site.

If you trust someone who is giving a review (I completely trust TDLFAN, know him personally, and share similar views on what "good quality" means), that person can save you a trip to somewhere you wouldn't be satisfied going to.

That's a big part of the reason why I chose ANAHEIM Disneyland for my last trip instead of Florida.

And I feel I made the right choice, many things going on at WDW point to the resort doing downhill, and I'd noticed THAT even around the time of my most recent visits.

Besides, having a life is overrated.

No, don't listen to the guy who actually HAS been everywhere and done everything and has some opinions about which places are better and which have gone downhill.

    That would be foolish.

TDLFAN has one of the fullest lives I know. Telling him to "get a life" is laughable.

He vacations in some of the most interesting and exotic places I know, has very interesting hobbies, and many friends.

And beyond the vacations, on his frequent business trips he ALWAYS makes the most of his free time...unlike so many business travellers who simply crash out in their hotel for the duration whenever they have any time to spare and hardly ever EXPERIENCE the places they are lucky enough to travel to.

    Whatever, dude.

I ran into more than just a few people who needed First Aid (because of the crowded situation) and I had to refer to the regular station over next to the Odyssey -- which was quite difficult to get to.

One of the reason I took a job down here in the Tampa Bay area is the fact that I would have 9 parks within an 1 1/2 hours drive. I have been going to WDW for over 20 years now and the quality has gone down. I am sick of hearing excuses from some people or people complaining that we are being negative when we point out bad show. Disney used to pride itself in pointing out how important show was to them. They pointed out how they would start at one end of Main Street and repaint it until the reached the end and then they would start again. They used to replace bulbs before they burned out. You want an example of bad show just walk the Q of Buzz Lightyear. There is paint peeling and cracked holes in the wall that has been there for months. This is not rotting wood or water stains on the Skyway building this is the Q of a major ride. The problem with WDW management is sometimes the only way the will fix things is if they are publicly exposed for everyone to see.
Now do I think guests are part of the problem now? Yes, they are. The strollers have gotten completely out of hand. Used to be a stroller was just big enough to push your child around. These supersize strollers can carry your child, toys, clothes, snacks, a drug store, a frig, etc. You get the point. Add in the ECV and you have gridlock whenever the parks get busy. And don't get me started about the people who don't pay attn. where they are going or just expect you to move out of their way.
Then there are the rude guest. One of the things I love about WDW is all the nighttime spectaculars i.e. Wishes, Fantasmic, Illuminations. Remember when people would just watch these shows? Well, now it seems half the time people feel the need to yap their trap throughout the whole frickin show. That is not only incredibly rude but annoying as hell to the people around you. Heck, I was at La Nouba one time and had to tell people behind us to shut up and this was at a show that's almost $100 a ticket! Where did common courtesy go?
However, WDW is still one of the few places left where people let there guard down. I can't count how many times I have had conversations with absolute strangers that would have never occurred in the real world. WDW is still a very magical place but the cracks are really starting to show esp in the Magic Kingdom. I just hope things turn around.
