The Disney cruise is my daughters college graduation present...

I know when I did my Disney cruise on the Big Red Boat I had to brings LOTS of dressy clothes, they wouldn't let men eat in the dining room in shorts ( with the exception of breakfast ) you had to wear pants, and dinner was always shirt and tie. I had to pack all this d#$% luggage just for the cruise. I'm sure Disney is much more liberal in their dress policy on their current cruises.

And since I HAVE been to Hong Kong I have personal experience that SHORTS can be formal attire. If your tring to suggest I don't dress up; I have many suits, two of which were custom make in Hong Kong. I once attended a Country Gamboree at the Dessert Springs Marriott and wore one of my Stetsons on the flight out so that it wouldn't get crushed in the overhead. When I'm on vaction I just want to get away. Not be loaded down with luggage or dressed up like a Versace queen.

I am sure the dolphins would have appreciated your efforts. BTW... if you ever do go on the DCL...and eat at Palo's.. make sure you bring your "Hong Kong specials" since casual attire is not permitted there.

That was the only time we used a poncho. One morning it rained and about noon it stopped but it was cloudy. We went to the Magic Kingdom. We had a wonderful time but just as we were going out of the park it started pouring. The perfect end to a perfect day.
