Having a list of ingredients is always helpful. You can also have a"nut-free zone" for people to choose from who have food allergies.

If 2oony would buy me a plane ticket I'd buy something from you!

If you can, have the cookies delivered early and wrap them in equal sized baggies and tie with a little ribbon. Price them all the same.

Wrap smaller cakes (like banana cakes in small tins) in clear celophane with a fancy bow (or even just a little paper ribbon) on top. Makes a ready-made gift for the buyer to bring to someone elses house.

Put paper doilies (sp) on large trays that hold the baked goods. Makes everything look yummy.

Have plastic bags for customers who buy larger quantities.

Have a bread maker? Fresh bread was a big seller here.

Buy bottled water in bulk. Put in a large ice bucket and sell for a buck a bottle.

Have napkins next to the "single serving" area.

Important: Have a large trash can or two placed nearby. People can be very messy.

Have a great time. Wish I could be there ;-)

Make good stuff but not to good that you eat all your merchandise/profits, lol.

Good luck and have fun doing it.

Also, in addition to everything chocolate, iced cookies went over well too. If you have a "theme" you can decorate cookies that way. Near Valentine's Day, I did cookies that looked like those little hearts with the sayings on them. they were very popular, mostly I think because of the icing - and message, lol. Doesn't have to be Valentine's tho, you could say " I Love New Orleans" or something like that.

Sure, it can be a pain in the tukus, but I baked anyway--it's the PRINCIPLE of the thing!

Only, there's this--bake the brownies yourself, but USE A MIX! So much tastier than from scratch.

    BTW:
Great idea on the ingredients list. Wish all potlucks would do the same--I might actually EAT at one.

Now they make fun of the kid who brings homemade. Times really have changed. :\

So far I also have people bringing apple cobbler, blueberry cobbler & pumpkin pies.

Also a friend of mine is a wholesaler of chips and he is going to donate some small bags and bring me a little rack to put them on.
