It is so true what was mentioned earlier about them being so busy and just trying to adjust, not a lot a time to call home. I'm set to go to a train-the-trainer seminar in Santa Ana with 3 others from my church. Getting back into the classes will be a blessing to me in so many ways. I have to head to bed and hope I sleep well, as I'm a bit worried about getting up on time. My clock's been funky since the power fritzed the other day. Thanks again, keep me in your thoughts, I may or may not get to read in the next few days, but probably won't be posting again til Wednesday. Bye for now!

She couldn't understand why we seemed upset as she had totally forgotten the time difference. (True story) Hope your trip comes off without a hitch Lulu.

Our church does a little in the way of personal growth but we could do so much more. They're lucky to have you facilitate the personal growth program. I just finished "A year by the sea" about personal growth and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's about a woman who separates from her husband and goes to live by herself in Cape Cod. She even gets a mentor, Joan Erikson, (the widow of Erik Erikson who coined the phrase "identity crisis."

Also, my friends have been calling and inviting me out/over constantly since I got back. I've been so busy!!! We had a wonderful time from Saturday evening thru Monday afternoon in NYC. Then we got DD moved in Monday early evening (what a production - about 30 floors of dorm rooms and only 2 elevators!) and went to buy a few more things for her room, and groceries. Tuesday morning we went to breakfast and walked over to the school building, about 20 minute walk from the dorm. Both the dorm and the school are attractive, secure and well-maintained. Just before I had to get a cab to the airport, we walked to a nearby Radio Shack and DD bought the last small TV they had. She was bound and determined to have a TV to watch the Yankees games (being a new fan due to her adopted hometown and, mostly, her sports-minded BF). When she realized the home games aren't televised, she took the TV back, yesterday! :-D I had a fun time but was sooo happy to get home to CA. Even tho it wasn't hot there, it's so humid, plus to me, the city was smelly and way too concrete-y, so I just felt sweaty and dirty all the time. I'd enjoyed visiting NYC when I was an East-coaster, but now I'm a devoted California girl! I was on PCH today and thought, what could be better than this?!?

My review: I didn't think the Frankenstein actor was as good as the supporting cast. So it started out kinda slow (to me) til they got to Transylvania. Then I LOVED the rest of the first act. It was super-duper!! Sadly I found the 2nd act disappointing, as I don't think it was as strong as the 1st. But, it was still a good show, and a lot of fun. We had such a super time that day, as we visited not only Times Square and the theater district, but Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Junior's Deli, the Library and Park, etc. We walked forever that day, but it was so fun!
