    Indeed.

Check one of his latest articles which is mainly just a weather report and bitch about the cold in New Hampshire, or wherever he lives.

Hell, if he wants warm weather, tell him to move to Perth where we get seven months of summer and over 38c almost every day.

It gets a bit f******g too much and I'd KILL for some nice cool weather.

Apparently the people at Pixar are a bit miffed at him over this.

Folks at Disney, I hear, think he's ok. The thing is that he's probably about as accurate as Al is. Stuff that he prints is what he is told.

Difference is, I don't harp about it in a blog to all and sundry who come for news about the Disney Company.

Besides, summer "officially" finished 25 days ago and it's getting into my favourite part of the year - Autumn and the time just before winter. All that lovely cool weather is AHEAD of us and is to be savoured.

Anyways, I think Jim Hill has some good info, but not enough to justify his status as a "news breaking" Disnoid. His "inside knowledge" can be so wrong sometimes (most notably his bold statements that Disney would definitely be doing a Harry Potter attraction) that it is laughable.

Jim's best when he's doing some multipart story on a focused bit of Mousedom. And even then, he often manages to just give up before the story is complete. Sad, because he really is an entertaining writer and his insights are quite revealing, most of the time.

Well, I live on the East Coast, and his complaining about the weather just comes off as whiney...especially since this winter hasn't been THAT bad compared to previous years...
He makes it seem SO horrible, but it really wasn't.

However, thank you, irishfan, for replying with some evidence (Everest's queue) regarding an incorrect prediction Jim has made.

Let's see if Night Kingdom turns out to be true or not.

Thats why hes been complaining about everything Pixar does and how disney overpaid for pixar blahblahblah. He is basically the spin doctor for the eisner-era executives and employees still with the company who hate John Lasseter and the new team.

Actually no, he didn't do it in that sort of context only.

For WEEKS, he kept stating, unequivocally, that Ratatouille was performing poorly, that it would SLIDE, and that regardless of the hopes and expectations of the filmmakers and fans of the film, this film's performance was a harbinger that the Pixar buy was a bad idea, period, and that Pixar would be on the defensive for it for quite a while. Period. He DID include, early on, statements that "Disney's marketing guys" were worried, but he veered far from that as the weeks wore on, in a need to vindicate himself.

He's made a variety of proclamations about happenings and events within Disney Feature Animation over the years, that have had no basis in reality - and this I know from personal perspective - and I'm convinced that enough people on the inside just hate him so much that they'll keep misdirecting him with "good sounding" but false information.

And the pathetic thing about it is, he doesn't always do the homework to verify whether his info is solid. He just prints it as if it were gospel.

Like I said, people at Pixar are pissed at him. I was told he is persona non grata there.

But that's not the case at Disney.

I have no direct knowledge, just relaying info.
