I hear what you're saying but (with the exception of the long gone 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) hasn't Fantasyland always been this way? What bugs me is when Disney throws kid oriented stuff in every corner of their parks. I'm willing to give Fantasyland a pass since its has always been symbolic of Disney fairy tales.

"Right now, adults can just watch their kids have fun in some of the new Fantasyland offerings, the can't really participate themselves."

In one of the Belle clips I saw that adults are given props and cast in role play activities along with the kids. I, for one, cannot imagine doing this. LOL

Maybe if the New Fantasyland is a big hit they'll start revamping other parts of the park. One can always hope.

I would not put much trust into what any "columnists" on any Disney fan forum website would have to say about anything since some of them are probably paid to say the right things that Disney Co wants them to say...or some of them are employed by Disney in some capacity and are biased. I trust more what the real fans have to say on the boards.

    >>I wouldn't ever do it. It'd be cute to see my kids do it though.<<

Say no more. You just made the current crop of Imagineers very happy. This is why there is no substance in anything WDW does now a days, but it sure looks pretty.

    >>OK, well maaaaaaybeeee after a cocktail.<<

Hans, were you trying to be funny? Because I find this to be a really SAD statement. When you need to turn to alcohol to enjoy anything new that WDW does, then maybe it's time to quit...disney that is? Go ahead, you still have time to quit since you will never be caught holding a cardboard prop playing a napkin in a preschool play, which is what Belle's Disenchanting Tales appears to be.

Am I personally excited to see this? Nope. I wasn't excited by anything they announced in the first place. I PERSONALLY think it was all style and absolutely no substance. And I still think that. I love AA's and am very impressed with Wardrobe and Lumiere. But Will I ever take time out to see this in person? No again.

The problem I have is that they themselves are making it out to be better than what it is. Those Disney Imagineer teaser "commercials" they are sending out to raise the interest level are sickening in their excitement over......nothing. It's almost laughable.

BUT once again, this is being built for small kids with their mom and dad, and they will eat it up.

Now, if they would have also announced something like Villain Mountain as a phase three E ticket, then I might have had a touch of interest. And this whole area would have had a much better balance of offerings.

We simply skip the attractions we don't like and still find plenty of other things to enjoy.

ORWEN: Why can't everybody do that?

I'm interested to see how the Mine coaster ends up. It would be great if it really is "E-ticket" quality.

But the rest of it was IMO was sad. Once again (like Idol) we are making guests entertain each other and look rather silly doing it. Audience participation was at some points forced and only those people participating got to take pictures with Belle before she disappeared (and no autographs) so definitely not a 'meet and greet'..

It'll be interesting to see how long the 'props' last before they wear out and disappear.

All in all I give it a 5 out of 10- Visually its nicely done but repeatability factor for me is almost zero.

Is there an online report anywhere of someone who has done it with their own kids? I wonder how their experience would compare

My guess is that they will be removed due to survey results before they have a chance to wear out. Either way, I give it a year, tops (which isn't a ton of time, considering that it doesn't even officially open for 2+ months)
