If it makes you feel better, 4 days before Xmas in 2004, we had to rush my dad from the Pop Century to Celebration Hospital via ambulance when he came down with heart problems. Triple bypass the day before Xmas. I too have this bad omen about the Pop.

As for the food court, I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, the food can actually be quite good and is much better than what I've ever had the All Stars (although I've had exactly one meal at said All Stars since 2000 and that was a very mediocre taco salad at Music in '03).

I think the real value of the rooms is for people who can't afford to stay anywhere else. But that's only if the rooms are under $60-70. Anything more than that and you can do much better off-site.

People dying & getting majorly sick, etc. I am extremely thankful that my daughters was not to that extreme. But no matter what one of us ends up sick at Disney....it may be only for a day but someone always comes down with something. I always tell my girls not to touch anything unless it's necessary. Kids (atleast my kids) tend to put there hands in their mouth & who knows what they've touched. I swear by that antibacterial gel stuff!

I admit it may be strange for someone to check out of a hotel at night only to return and ask for their room back with a vomit-covered child in tow. But at WDW, they should be prepared for anything and I can see this scenario playing out at least more than once in a blue moon.

To be treated with such disdain and lack of compassion (would you say contempt?) by the desk staff is unconscionable. But this isn't your father's Disney.

Disney trains its managers and execs in the fine art of lying. Yes, it happens at other companies. But Disney, as they are fond of telling us, isn't just another company.

First off, I can guarantee you almost 100% that the room you vacated was not about to be given to anyone else. How many rooms do they have? It was night. How many check-ins do they have that late? You do realize that WDW is one of the only places I've been where you can't just walk in and get a room, even if they have hundreds empty. No, they don't want anyone staying there that hasn't gone thru Big Brother (AKA the Destination Disney tracking program at the WDTC).

But back to the specifics, it is truly sad that Tink had to be reduced to tears with an ill child at the front desk over a 'discount rate code' ... and then forced to traipse over to the AS Sports.

If it were me, I'd have written to Lee Cockerell and Al Weiss and CC'd to whoever is the GM over there. But that's me. I don't believe you should let yourself be treated horribly by cretins, even wearing Mouse tags.

Also, failed to mention that my complaint with the food court is that it is always filthy (seating area/drink stations) and falling apart. And I stayed there six weeks after opening and it already looked that way. Whoever thought it would be a great idea to put carpeting into the seating area of a Disney food court ought to be nominated for somekind of stupidity award. And those booths ... ripped, torn and dirty.

I also liked the food court selection better although that may have changed since we were last there. I can't tell you how many grilled cheese sandwiches I had a the All Star Sports. I didn't really find anything I was particularly fond of at the Pop except the cream cheese pastry which they may have at all of the resorts.

I don't have anything bad to say about the Pop. Maybe next year we'll go back there. The busses were a little slower and the food court wasn't quite as good for my tastes.

but out of the 3 all-stars i personally like movies the best. he has good food, nice pools, nice rooms, not to far of a walk to get to places, and great picture spots to take pictures with the kids.

Food was ok - burgers were actually pretty good, pasta dish with meatballs was not, breakfast plates were marginal but bakery items were very good. Buy the refillable mug if you are there for more than 3 days - you'll easily get your money's worth in drinks over that period of time.

Bus service to parks was very good - not much waiting at either end and enough busses running to not have to cram into each one.

Bus service to DTD was not good - always would add stops at waterparks which would make trip seem very long.
