While there were a few scenes that addressed the number one law of nature (and, despite what a jungle cruise skipper will tell you, it's not "don't be a zebra"), I would not say that it was particularly violent. Scary for a 3 year old? Absolutely. However, the movie is rated PG. In fact, the information on the movie says "Rated PG for some mild peril and rude humor."

So much that I was giggling to myself when they were explaining the "heart song" was for.. in a manner kids could understand. We had several kids in the screening we were at & while I was concerned the movie would be too loud (the trailers certainly were!) and make some kids cry.. it didn't happen. No crying, although I think there were some scary moments that were a little unexpected. Other than that.. it was fun! The only thing that really bugged me was that "mumble" never lost all his feathers like the rest of the penguins.. but that's a small complaint really I guess.

They were mostly kind of ugly and chatterboxy. Frankly, I don't know if there IS a truly great animated film that came out in 2006. Considering how many entries there were... it was sort of disappointing. I'm much more excited about 2007.

That and I felt it had a better story along with humor. It had things the kids could laugh at and things adults could laugh at. (I loved the simple SUV joke and my Dad loved the propane rocket.) As for Cars I did enjoy it, but there was something missing from it that the other Pixar films have had.
