I mean it gets overwhelming when you figure not only the interest that you don't pay, but add the time value of money back to the money you KEEP by paying over 60 months...no wonder GM is going bankrupt! They are giving away cars AND money! Came out around $11K under MSRP including an extended warranty to 5 yr / 100K miles, free XM Radio for a year, free Onstar for a year, free oil changes to 36K miles, and a dealer paid GAP insurance policy. Took me all day to get this deal, was on cell phone with other sales people at other dealers while standing in front of sales people at such and such a dealer. I went into each dealer (5 dealers in one day) and said from the start, "I am going to buy a car today, it's just a matter of who sells it to me." 2006 Suburban LT, pretty much all options available without special order. It is almost a carbon copy of the Yukon XL that I have driven since May of 2000. The trim isn't as nice, but there are far more options than the Yukon. I'm happy with it.

Management ( hard to even use this term)- at GM should be let go instead of all the workers - clueless!

No red faced, no feelings of uneasiness. Thanks DVC--home equity the smartest thing you can do> in the right real estate area i.e. prices going up, you are there, I think, and that's how I made a small fortune in less than a year and a half. Susan Orman said it's the worst thing, well she's completely WRONG> caution unless the real estate values are going down OR you have an awful mortgage that SOON will increase. A lot of mine is new 5 year stuff so I'm relaxed when wackos say to watch out as I don't have to watch out for anything with rentals in place as well as interest rates. So DON'T feel guilty about home equity! It's extremely smart!!!! Around 55000? May I ask as I'm in the car insurance business. 55--You are so right about how they can stay in business! I detect a tinge of guilt from you that you question their losing money on the deals. I feel the same way about my real estate deal as we bought our house here for 500,000 less than it's value. I see the people who moved right down the street at the Ridge and feel guilty but the house was on the market for over 6 months so we HELPED them. So let's continue this positive conversation about your successes as I want to learn from positive people. You two sound like Ridge people who hope others do well> kinda like a disney feeling> the happiest place on earth! Lake Nona--like real estate location, location, location, At Augusta it's always Tiger, Tiger, Tiger! then the rest of the field> even though they lengthened the course. With that thought, I would look for the bombers to do well next week. DVC--I can't believe how sharp you were with that deal< r and ding it. I have to buckle and get a cell after reading your post as my 12 year old has been after me to. I just like to go home from the hundreds of calls a day and not talk on the phone and also I can't see going on the course with the cell on the bag like everyone else here. I have ENOUGH pressure trying to keep the ball in play. Last night, the usual 5 holes and 5 lost $4 buck a piece Platinum One balls-Pathetic!
