Just 2 more days of being early 30's Blake then you're mid thirties or at best thirty-something! Just kidding of course you old fart.

My son and daughter don't like it that much any more as Johnny Damon bolted to the dreaded Yanks! As you may or may not know, he graduated with my real estate broker from, you guessed it, Dr. Phillips High, probably the best public high school in the state according to the data. I actually got my hands on some last night to test the feel of them, and was intrigues by the Titleist 907T ( i believe that's the call number), and the Cleveland Ti460 was just AMAZING! I may or may not be buying Callaway...it all depends on how they perform on the range. Also, I saw the G5's yesterday...they look nice! I might try that driver, too. You playing today?

What's up there Blake? Keep an open mind about the G5's as the price compared to the titleist and calloway are actually less, I think? I won't mention any more real estate until it's a done deal EXCEPT one more we're hot for is called Bermuda Dunes, where Tiger actually plays a lot. The condos are cheap at around 200K apiece and the rentals are guraranteed for 18 months, so we could buy 2 there for the price of one at Dr. Phillips depending on the terms. I like the 5% down thing.
Originally Posted By gaston lives That sounds like a smarter investment. Cheaper per unit, too. I'd go that route. Actually, out here the Ping is $300 while the Titleist and Callaway's are $250. Actually, I've been checking out the certified pre-owned Callaway's, and am impressed by what people say about them and their customer service. I think if I hit some clubs this weekend, and like one of the Callaway's, I may just buy it from pre-owned. You can actually select shaft (aldila, fujikura, etc.) through them, too. Example: I coudl get the 454 through pre-owned for like $180-$205 when it's over $300 in the stores. I'll definitely keep the Ping in mind, though. The irons come after the driver! Outback sounds great! Wish I could join you for both the back 9 and the dinner! You getting a blooming onion?

I played the greatest golf of my life! I didn't score but shot 3 over 39. There were just 3 people out there> two others and me with 55 temp and sunny. I warmed up in the trap and even hit those great in warmup! 2 three putts and one ball on par 5 18th that crept almost into water but I had to take the 1 stroke penalty for being unplayable. Took the stroke and hit the U wedge 50 feet away. I had to plan for around a ten foot break over the usual huge ridge and sank the putt. I looked around and pumped my fist with NO one around of course> one bad thing about this extremely private course-no witnesses except the 30 or so workers out there today. The greatest moment of my life except birth of kids and wedding. Only a golfer would understand this especially after me NOT playing for 35 years. Stoked city or what. Maybe I'll win the lottery tomorrow! Bloomin onions are the best french fries in the world especially with that yellow sauce. I LOVE the G 5's Blake but I think the pre-owned might be best as it seems you're at the indecisive state where you could change your mind next year? Man I'm sorry about that weather 55 as I've been following it every morning at 3 when I get up on the WC Off to Outback!!!!!!!! I might even have some birthday cake as I hate "emotional eating" but. .......NO FORE today!

I've been hitting this driver for about 8 years now.< I undertand that-- I have the same putter for over 20 years -- and I never plan to change...it is what saves my game these days -- it is a Lynx Parallax ( Freddie's old choice) - graphite shaft with a grip that is molded on - not rubber or leather- a textured feel-- and the feel of the ball on the club for a good role I have never been able to duplicate

I love the feel, but I'm thinking about getting something with a little more feedback. I occassionally get those hot putts that fly off of the face cause it's too soft for my own good. Ever get those? Where's the Tom Sawyer quiz?

I had 2 3 putts yesterday with probably a 12 on the stimp as you have the "marble staircase routine" so yes I can imagine that happening which is why I'm hanging with the plain solid feeling bullseye.

The thing was milled, and had some great swing weight to it. 10 bucks...not bad for any price. I like the look of a blade, but might consider going to a partial mallet as the weighting seems to favor my swing type. Ah, the Bullseye...one of the greatest putters ever invented! When you consider that you use your putter more often than any club in your bag, how can you not help but justify spending more on it than any other club?
