With my high ball flight, the pro wanted me in a 6.5 degree, but I thought it would be too dramatic. Instead, we opted to go from the 905R to the 905T sicne it's designed to minimize ball backspin. It's also a 400 CC vs a 460 CC, so it won't launch the ball as high.

Add in the Speeder shaft with a high kick point, and I've got a nice, low ball flight that climbs slowly and descends at about the same rate. The roll is incredible! In a HEAD WIND I was carrying the ball around 240-250...after roll (in the wind) I was constantly between 260-275.

I can't wait to get the club sent to me and try it out without wind! I'll bet with a tail wind I'd be hitting 300 easy.

I tried the G-5...it didn't work for me. I liked the aiming aid, but it just wasn't for me.

Heck, I tried the Nike Ignite, Cleveland Ti460, Callaway X-460, Taylor Made 580XD, Cobra 454 comp, Ping G5, Titleist 905R, and the Callaway Fusion.

My hands are pretty cut up, too.

Great selection! Too bad the G5 aiming mechanism didn't work that great for me this weekend:(

I tell you, it was weird. It came down to the Callaway X-460 and the Titleist...the X460 was great, but the Titleist was just more consistent.

It's hard to go away from a product that you've used for years, you know? However, before I purchased it, I called and spoke with Titleist to get a feel for their Custoemr Service team, adn they were really knowledgable and friendly, so that put me mroe at ease.

Hey, I have some sisters in law that need housing in Orlando for 2 months this summer...what are your rental fees?

I couldn't hit the titlelist as we're all different.

I just thought if you had an empty place that you'd be willing to rent for at least a copule of months. :)

    If not, no worries here.

FYI--The Ridge has Titlelist as the exclusive clubs here and balls! I couldn't hit them but they are arguably the best golf clubs in the world. Get your butt out and hit after work every day.
I played my 5 today after work and hit the ball average but scored for a change.
5 out of 5 pars except OB on 3 so that's a double after playing second ball in par.

I hope I didn't double whammy myself. I'm a highball hitter, so the high kick point shaft is good to keep the ball lower. My head is 8.5, so that'll help, too...but the 905T also takes backspin OFF the ball. Hopefully it's not too much. If it is, I'll trade up to a Callaway X460.

I think I'll like this Titleist, though. It felt great and was consistent. I just get nervous when I spend money and don't have the club in my hands, you know?

I've read a lot in Golf Magazine about these guys getting 40+ yards after getting a special, custom fit club. Usually it's the result of more or less backspin.

I think in my case, hittin ghte ball high and slightly out to in, that the decreased spin would help my cuase.

Ugh...I can't wait to hit this thing!

Yeah, I have to wait until the club is delivered, but I want it NOW!!!

I'll have to follow that little tourney on the net as I have to work all day. :(

Hey, are you planning on going to Orlando this winter? We're going down in Nov/Dec timeframe. We ought to hook up and play a course or two!

I'd like to try the LBV as I've never played it, but have seen it a lot. I'll play anywhere, but I'd really like that one.
