    - San Diego - I love SD almost as much as SF, it has everything, great weather and killer Mexican Food

    - The Mission Trail and 49er trail, we did both as a kid.

    - Lassen Volcanic National Park

    - Yosemite (close to home, but we used to camp there all the time).

    - Carmel and Monterey

    - Death Valley

    - Yellowstone

    - Bryce Canyon

    - Grand Canyon (and most of Arizona)

Washington DC - especially the Smithsonian

    Gettysburg

    Boston

New York was ok, but I think it is an overrated city, much prefer SF!!!!

    Philidelpia

    Hawaii

Alaska - especially Glacier Bay - wow!!!

    Las Vegas

Reno, Tahoe and Virgina City (so cool!!!)

I really did not like New Mexico (except Pueblo), Texas, Tennessee,Louisiana or any of the other Southern States I have been too. I don't really like Florida, and if it weren't for the parks, I would skip it.

If I won a whole lot of money I could easily move the family from Australia to San Francisco...I fell in love with SF.

It did indeed taint my view, and for everything we liked, there were about 50 things we didn't. However, I have met some great people from Atlanta, and indeed it may be nice.

But when compared to other trips, this was one of the worst in my experience.

High points of that trip - getting back to California!

    The Alamo was interesting though.

You know why its because of the pecan trees. I had never seen a pecan tree in my life and now I think they are just spectacular. And I really really really like Fairhope, AL ( I know its one of Alabama's best kept secrets ). Oh how about Dolphin Island, AL, wow what a place. I really like Chatanogga, TN. I still need to explore more of the south. I am so glad I live here. It really does give me the chance to explore the area.

And you know what? I really like Kennesaw and Marrietta! They both have so much I really really like. A national park ( well battlefield park ), bike paths, mountains to hike, trains, trains, great food and wonderful people ( including you Trailsend and DVC_Dad.

Wow Dave, you were in my area. I wonder what year it was you were near here. Probably before laughingplace.com?

I'm 2 hours north of Philly.

Broadway shows, restaurants, shopping, museums it's all there. The only way that trip could have been better was if it was at Christmas time. Maybe next time.

The problem is that there is so much more to do in RI, CT and Mass. why ride a bike around Block Island. I would much rather be visiting the Whaling Museum in New Bedford, MA or Gillett Castle in CT. There is much better food in Providence, RI. Just a lot more to do than be cooped up on a small island off the coast.
