It's the same with Costco pizza. It's pretty bland but the cheese is excellent, and when you eat the pizza for all the cheese like I do, you can forgive to lack of flavor in the other departments.

Surprisingly the Cheesecake Factory has some of the best BBQ Chicken pizza.

The crust was old school hand tossed and thin. The toppings and home made sauce were all fresh and generously piled on.

Now I see the new owners are offering whole wheat crust (yuch) and deep dish pizza. I probably won't go back and ruin my memories of the best pizza ever.

When in Rome I guess.

New York pizza rocks!

Great pizza, great spumoni, great italian ices - and if you are really hungry ... a great restaurant there as well.

Here in the states, the best pizza I've had is in LoDo Denver. Wahoo Supper Club. There are so many toppings you can't pick it up. You have to eat it with a fork.

Best Chicago Pan Style: Green Mill; various locations in Minnesota. This pizza is a masterpiece. It is a good 2 to 3 inches deep. It is built in reverse order of typical pizzas. You start with a fantastic pan pizza crust and then add cheese, the various ingredients, and then top it off with a generous helping of a WONDERFUL tomato sauce with big chunks of tomato in it. The ingredients are all first rate, and their sausage is the best I've ever had.

Best Thin Crust Pizza: Luigi’s Pizza, three locations in the Branson, Missouri area. Their “St. Louis Style” thin crust pizza is the best I’ve ever had. Even though the curst is cracker thin, it is wonderfully tasty – a hard combination to find. I’m not sure what they use in their cheese blend, but it provides a slight “creaminess” that you don’t usually find in pizza cheese. The ingredients Luigi’s uses are again first rate.

I would not be able to decide which of the above was my “favorite”. They are completely opposite styles of pizza, and each is superb for its type.
