So unless you have actually eaten at Capt.Kidds recently I think it is time to stop the joke. I could add that once upon a time I got so sick from eating the chowder in the bread bowl from DL...

It is like my tradition. I love their salads and the steak. But, most of all....the surroundings.

I was born in Brooklyn, and grew up there, and yes the pizza was great. It's not in anyway as great as it was 20 years ago, but still if you know where to go you can still get great pizza there.

But like I said, the Pizza at Naples is ok for being so close to Disneyland.

Depends where you go. In fact, there's a relatively new place that's better than all but one or 2 I've ever had (and I've lived in Brooklyn all my adult life).

If a full-grown man can say it in YF, then who are we mere mortals to object?

I'm sure you're right, things have changed there. When I grew up in Brooklyn, all the Pizza was made by Italians, now most left, and sold out. They just don't have the love the old owners had for their pizza.

If you ever come to San Francisco I will tell you where you can find an amazing Pizza Pie. The guy was the 8 time world pizza tossing champ. As good a pizza as I have ever had, just as good as when I was a kid in Brooklyn.

Best of all is one of the old-school places. The owner's been there forever and has got to be 80, but he's still there most days. His 50-something sons carry on the tradition really well, too, and the place is always packed, so I don't worry about it going away any time soon.

Nice to know there are still some of the old guys around, you're lucky to have one near you.
